Christian-Citizens.org owns and operates this website, including all pages hosted at Christian-Citizens.org.  This Privacy Policy addresses how Christian-Citizens.org collects and uses the personal information collected the Site, as well as how Christian-Citizens.org uses information that may be provided to Christian-Citizens.org via other means.

How we collect information

Christian-Citizens.org may collect information regarding visitors to Christian-Citizens.org, including IP address, browser and domain information, and information volunteered by you, such as e-mail address, contact information (which may include phone numbers) and, for donations and purchases, credit card information. We may also monitor and track information, such as visitor usage patterns using standard website tracking software.  When you are on Christian-Citizens.org and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with Christian-Citizens.org alone, unless stated otherwise.

Christian-Citizens.org may share your personal information with its partner companies or service providers in order to complete your donation or purchase, fulfill your order and answer your questions.  

 

Information we collect

Christian-Citizens.org collects personally identifiable information (which may include name, email address, physical address, and phone number) from visitors and other supporters when they register to join our organization, become a member, make a donation or purchase online or offline, subscribe to our e-newsletter, take an action concerning an issue using our service, or otherwise participate in one of our online communities.

Christian-Citizens.org uses the personally identifiable information we collect about you to be able to send you communications such as an e-newsletter, various printed publications or mail appeals, and text messages (if you have opted-in at the time of providing your mobile phone number; standard text messaging rates may apply) in furtherance of our educational and advocacy objectives.

Please note: We are aware of and sensitive to the issue of unsolicited e-mail ("spam"); therefore Christian-Citizens.org will never rent, trade or sell your e-mail address to a third party for directed marketing of commercial products. We may, from time to time, allow our service providers to draw conclusions regarding user behaviors from demographic and aggregated information.  We may agree with other reputable, charitable organizations to write via postal mail or e-mail to some of each other's supporters, for the mutual benefit of both. Update, correct, or delete personally identifiable information

The accuracy of your individual information is important to Christian-Citizens.org. Additionally, we have tried to streamline our operations by making it easy for you to control the information that we maintain about you. As an eCommunity member, you can change your personal information, unsubscribe, or make an inquiry about your information by sending an e-mail to contact@christian-citizens.org.

 

Protecting personally identifiable information

When you give Christian-Citizens.org personally identifiable information, we take steps to treat your information securely. Christian-Citizens.org uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving sensitive visitor data (e.g., financial information) within the Site.  All online donations are processed via third parties using secure servers. Christian-Citizens.org is PCI compliant and works only with vendors who are also PCI compliant for handling personally identifiable information and/or financial transactions. Christian-Citizens.org does not store your credit card information for future use. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personally identifiable information, Christian-Citizens.org cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we use commercially reasonable efforts to secure it on our systems, and to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected.

 

Christian-Citizens.org is not responsible for use of personally identifiable information by its partner companies. Please consult the Sites of those companies for information concerning their privacy policies.

 

Use of cookies

Children's privacy

If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 and believe your child is using Christian-Citizens.org, please contact us at contact@christian-citizens.org. Upon request, the parent or guardian of a child under 13 may review and request the deletion of such child’s personally identifiable information, as well as refuse to permit the further collection or use of such information.  If we discover that a user is under the age of 13, we will delete their account and all personally identifiable information immediately.

 

Privacy rights for California residents

If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to contact@christian-citizens.org.

 

International Users

Christian-Citizens.org are operated in the United States.  If you are located outside of the United States, you should be aware that we will collect, process, and maintain your information in the United States.  By using Christian-Citizens.org, accessing Christian-Citizens.org or providing any information to Christian-Citizens.org, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may not offer the same level of privacy protection that would be required by your home country, and to the processing and maintaining of that information as described in this Privacy Policy.
